Dear parents and carers

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we are engaging in regular communications with the Department of Education on the progression of the virus and its impact on our operation. We receive updates from the Department of Health and are continuously assessing any impact on our plans.

The latest advise we have received was to continue our operation and stay open but to implement a range of strategies to reduce the risk of transmission, including the promotion of personal hygiene measures, physical distancing, reducing mass gatherings (eg school assemblies), and reducing the mixing of students (eg reduced use of common areas).

We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak is on everyone’s mind and we are taking steps to protect the safety and health of students and our team members. As the situation is rapidly evolving, the advice may eventually change.

For the time being, we are implementing the following proactive measures:

1. Morning assemblies (queuing) will be cancelled until further notice. Parents will need to walk their kids directly to their classes at 9.55 am sharp for the class to start at 10 am.
2. Our teachers will be monitoring students during recess to reduce the number of student interactions.
3. We have cancelled our plan to have a sport day on week 10 of this term.
4. If your child do get symptoms, such as a cough, or breathing difficulty (with or without a fever), or has any type of illness or immunity concerns please keep your child resting at home and seek medical advice.
5. We will immediately send home students or staff who show signs of being unwell through the day.  
6. If your child has travelled overseas in the last 14 days, please do not bring him or her to the school.  
7. The last day of term 1 is on Saturday 4^th of April.
8. Planned term 2 activities will be re-assessed closer to the start of the term.
9. In the event of closure, the management team are currently looking at the possibility of using online learning platforms.
10. Parents have the freedom not to bring their children to the school if they wish to. This won’t impact on children receiving their certificates.

These are the measures we will be taking while maintaining our essential program to children. The next few weeks and months will be critical for all of us and we hope that by taking extra care we can mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus inshallah.

نود ان نأكد لكم اننا على اتصال متواصل مع الجهات المعنية لمتابعة تطور الاحداث بما يتعلق بفيروس كورونا واثرة على انشطتنا المدرسية.

التعليمات التي وصلتنا من دائرة التعليم والصحة تنص على انه لا ضرورة في الوقت الحالى لاغلاق المدرسة  ضمن الظروف الحالية والعمل على اتخاذ اجراءات جدية للحد من امكانية انتشار الفيروس.  

ندرك تماما ان الوضع الحالي يشغل تفكير الجميع ونحاول قدر المستطاع ان نتخذ خطوات عملية لحماية ابنائنا الطلاب ومعلمينا.

وفقا لتوصيات الجهات الرسمية ستقوم المدرسة باتخاذ الخطوات التالية في الفترة الحالية:

ايقاف التجمعات الطلابية بما فيها الطابور الصباحي. يرجى من الاهالي اصطحاب اطفالهم للصفوف مباشرة في تمام الساعة 9.55

سنقوم بمراقبة الطلاب اثناء وقت الاستراحة لمنع او تخفيف اي احتكاك او تلامس بين الطلاب

تم الغاء مخطط اقامة يوم للرياضة والمرح في الاسبوع العاشر من هذا الفصل

لا تحضر طفلك الى المدرسة في حال ظهر عليه اي علامة من علامات المرض بما في ذلك الرشح اوالسعال اوضيق التنفس او في حال وجود اي مشكلة تتعلق بجهاز المناعة.

سنقوم بارسال اي طفل او معلم او متطوع لمنازلهم في حال ظهر على احدهم اي من علامات التعب او المرض خلال الدوام المدرسي.

لا تحضر طفلك الى المدرسة اذا تواجد خارج استراليا خلال الاسبوعين الاخيرين.

سيكون يوم السبت 4 ابريل اخر يوم دراسي للفصل الاول.

سيتم اعادة جدولة النشاطات المعدة مسبقا للفصل الدراسي الثاني مع اقتراب موعده.

يدرس فريق الادارة حاليا امكانية استخدام تطبيقات خاصة للتدريس عن بعد في حال تقرر اغلاق المدرسة.

لدى الاهالي حرية الاختيار في حال لم يرغبوا باحضار ابنائهم الى المدرسة ولن يؤثر ذلك على حصولهم على شهاداتهم في نهاية السنة الدراسية.

سنباشر بتطبيق هذه التعليمات منذ السبت القادم وسنقوم باطلاعكم على المستجدات بشكل مستمر ان شاء الله.

الفترة القادمة صعبة على الجميع, نسأل الله عز وجل ان يرفع عنا البلاء ويحفظكم من كل سوء ونشكركم على تفهمكم وتعاونكم.
